NRL Semis Souths v Easts Dogs v Penrith
How do you see these match ups? I want to see South Sydney (Come on you Bunnies) get through and I think they will. I've got a feeling the Dirty Doggies will beat Penrith. However what Soward and co have done this season has been incredible but I also think a Dogs Souths final would have a better atmosphere and the forward confrontation would be immense, too

Yes, I just have a particular image of him taking out Matt Orford. I know he's no Les Boyd. I just dislike the guy.

That's not confined to SBW though....that was what EVERYONE did back then.

I've seen it in person with my own eyes. Slamming an opponent who was held in a tackle. And because he's massive, the other guy comes of worse. I'm talking in his early days when I saw him in the flesh loads of times.

Of all the players in the NRL you could call a cheap shot merchant, you chose SBW Cheezey?

Ennis is a cheap shot merchant.
Thirdman Thaiday is a cheap shot merchant.
Jared Warea-Hargreaves is a cheap shot merchant.

SBW isn't.

In his Bulldogs days , he was king of the shoulder charge to the jaw of smaller opponents. He can't get away with it so easy now.

Do you really consider SBW to be a 'cheap shot merchant?'

They will miss Ennis more than Souths will miss Issac Luke though they might inject Ennis's foot with cortisone so he'll be able to play but will have to use an electric buggy when he joins the Sharks next year. I quite like watching Michael Ennis play, though's he's had to rein in his constant moaning to the referees this season. It's funny how he has that stupid grin on his face at the end of games and shakes everyone's hands as if nothing untoward had gone on before. A character, as they say

Unfortunately, the tackle was always going to result in a suspension.

We've seen plenty of them not lead to a suspension this season, but the microscope was on the judiciary this week and Luke put himself in the dock.

Of course, there wasn't ACTUALLY anything the tackle, but by the letter of the law, it was illegal.

Luckily, in Koroisau, we have Issac Luke II and so will be fine.

What's really annoying about this suspension though, is that he's also been banned for the first game of the 4 Nations...like missing the GF isn't bad enough.

That's the problem with the judicial process...if you plead guilty - 1 week. If you plead not guilty and you're found guilty - 2 weeks. That's not right.

It's fucking ludicrous that a player misses the Grand Final through suspension. Cameron Smith was rubbed out of the GF in 2008. He's been the one of the best players in the game for 10 years.

What they should do is allow a player to trade a GF suspension for a number of games the next season or a financial penalty. I'd say 10 games or $100,000.

Well I hope the Rabbits do it. It's been a very long time and the fans have suffered all kinds of bleeding humiliation along the way.
The Burgess brothers have been outstanding, Sam is close to being the best forward in the game and an all time great -This has all been under reported in the British media. The only way I see the Doggies winning is for Souths to freeze on the day like Melbourne did against them a couple of weeks ago but the Dogs are going to miss the ultimate wind up merchant MIchael Ennis. and maybe Trent Hodgekinson. so come on Souths! It's about bloody time!

2 teams I don't much like, but of the 2 I want Souths to win.

Kind of ironic a player being suspended for foul play against the cheap shot merchant.

Luke didn't get off, but Ennis has broken two bones in a foot and says it will take "a miracle" for him to make it.

I'd like to see all sports look at one-off games like that and carry a suspension over. Unless there are aggravating circumstances, e.g. Jared W-H coming within a whisker of a second report in the same game for that elbow.

I can't see Luke getting off, unfortunately.

I just hope Isaac Luke doesn't get banned from the final, but if the Roosters had won I'd have wanted Wairea-Hargreaves to be suspended. Horrible player, nasty cheap shots every time he plays. Put on report yesterday and he was still at it later in the game, he can't help himself.

Well done the Bunnies; they started like a bunch of sleepwalkers and then got nasty. It wasn't a classic fluid game of passing but they more than ruffled the chicken's feathers, they pulled them out in clumps. I was in a pub with someone who had never seen a game of League before-an American- and he couldn't believe what was going on. It was starting to get annoying trying to explain the rules. Looking forward to the other game but the atmosphere will be different. It will be hard for Penrith to put those Dirty Doggies back in their kennels. btw Cheers Sydney Iron for that mini report

Want Penrith, think CB.
Whoever wins, I'm glad the finals were dominated by Sydney clubs.
